IDFC First Bank announced the re-appointment of V. Vaidyanathan as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a further period of three years, effective December 19, 2021.
According to the bank’s exchange filing, “we wish to inform you that the Reserve Bank of India, vide its communication dated September 07, 2021, has granted its approval for re-appointment of Mr. V. Vaidyanathan (DIN: 00082596) as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (‘MD & CEO’) of the Bank, for a period of three (3) years effective from December 19, 2021.”
Earlier, V. Vaidyanathan had a stint with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, ICICI Bank, Citibank India, and ICICI Financial Services Limited. In 2010, he was the CEO and MD of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company. At Citibank India, he served as Business Head Auto Business.
