Kia Motors America appoints industry veteran Michael McHale as Director of Brand Experience

Kia Motors America (KMA) announced that automotive industry veteran Michael McHale has joined the company as director of brand experience. McHale will report directly to Russell Wager , Vice President of Marketing for KMA.

In this newly created role, McHale will lead all aspects of public relations and external communications, including events, experiential initiatives, automotive shows and strategic alliances.

McHale brings to this new position more than 25 years of experience in the automotive industry. Most recently, McHale served as director of communications at Rivian Automotive, where he oversaw the introduction of the brand to the US market in 2018. Previously, McHale served for 11 years as director of corporate communications at Subaru of America, where he was in charge of all the tasks related to public relations, social networks, automotive exhibitions and internal communications tasks. In addition, it has collaborated with the automotive brands BMW, Land Rover and MINI. McHale began his career in design and production engineering at Land Rover in the UK.
