Lenskart appoints Shweta Shukla as Chief People Officer

Lenskart, a leading eyewear company, has appointed Shweta Shukla as its Chief People Officer, according to ETHRWorld report.

In this role, Shukla will lead the People function globally and be a member of the executive management team. Her key focus will be on driving global growth, organisation effectiveness and culture & leadership. Shukla replaces Lenskart’s Founder and CEO Peyush Bansal who had been doubling up as the Chief People Officer for two-and-a-half years.

A seasoned HR professional with more than 20 years of experience, Shukla is stepping in amid a spate of top-level exits at the high profile startup, a statement said.

Shukla is the Founder of Singapore-based The CultureGram, a platform for “honest conversations & collaboration about Culture, Leadership, Inclusion, Identity & embracing differences.”

Prior to founding The CultureGram, Shukla was associated with Netflix as Vice President and Head of Talent & Human Resources – Asia Pacific.

Previously, Shukla worked at Facebook as the Head of Human Resources – South East Asia and India. She also worked at Aon Hewitt, Hewitt Associates and Genpact.

She started her career at HSBC as Executive Recruitment Manager in 2001.

Shukla is an alumna of XLRI Jamshedpur.
