Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited (MHRIL), India’s leading leisure hospitality provider, announced that Sujit Vaidya has resigned from the role of Chief Financial Officer of the company, with effect from May 31, 2023.

According to the company’s exchange filing, “we would like to inform that, Mr. Sujit Vaidya has resigned as the Chief Financial Officer of the Company and accordingly, he shall cease to be the Chief Financial Officer and also a Key Managerial Personnel of the Company w.e.f. closure of business hours on May 31, 2023.”

Sujit Vaidya is a Chartered Accountant with over 3 decades of varied industry experience, having spent the last 10 years in various CFO roles within Castrol/BP and Disney. He has worked in international markets including South East Asia, the Middle East and the UK in several leadership roles spanning financial control & reporting, business performance and risk management, as well as planning and strategy.

Sujit Vaidya’s last assignment was at Star-Disney India as Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure of seven years, he has provided leadership to all the financial activities of The Walt Disney Company in India, South Asia and the Middle East, as well as to financial and business stakeholders in Disney International. He was also responsible for Operations and Information Technology. Since joining Disney India in July 2013, Sujit led successful post-acquisition integration of diverse media businesses of the erstwhile UTV. Later in 2019, he acted as a key member of the team that integrated Star/Fox India’s business post worldwide acquisition by Disney.

He has earlier worked with Castrol India Ltd, where he was Director – Finance with additional responsibility of Financial Controls and Compliance for BP’s Lubricants business globally. Since starting his career at Castrol India in 2003, he has worked in varied roles across the Lubricant business in India and globally, in Gas & Power and Alternative Energy businesses in the UK. Besides these, he brings a lot of diverse experiences, having worked in reputed companies such as Procter & Gamble, Citicorp, ITC Agro-Tech, AF Ferguson and Boston Consulting Group.
