FMCG major Marico Limited announced the appointment of Koteshwar L N as Executive Vice President & Head Digital Business, with effect from November 1, 2023.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “Pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations & Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, we hereby inform you of the appointment of Mr. Koteshwar L N as Executive Vice President & Head Digital Business with effect from November 1, 2023. He will be responsible for overseeing the Company’s digital businesses.”
Koteshwar L N has around 21 years of experience spanning across organizations like The Coca-Cola Company and Flipkart.
Koteshwar completed his Bachelor’s in Engineering in 2000 from Osmania University and started his career as an engineer with Wipro Technologies. He completed his Master’s in Business Administration from FMS, Delhi in 2004.
Post his MBA, Koteshwar joined The Coca Cola Company where he spent 14 years gaining a breadth of exposure across functions including sales, marketing, branding, strategy and innovation. In his last role at Coca Cola, he was designated as Director – Strategy & Innovation, Strategic Initiatives & Special Projects, Digital Lead – India BU.
Koteshwar later joined Flipkart, where in his last role, he was designated as the Business Unit Head – Flipkart Wholesale where he led the turnaround for Flipkart Wholesale (erstwhile Walmart Best Price) and ensured sequential and steady growth for the business. He also ensured a sustainable and stable model for B2B business, a first for the industry itself. In his previous role, he was a part of B2C Grocery Business leading the entire essentials portfolio, which includes Staples and Private Brands. He also incubated and scaled Fresh Business, including F&V, Dairy & Fresh business.
