Max Healthcare Institute appoints Anil Bhatnagar to its Board

Hospital chain Max Healthcare Institute Limited announced the appointment of Anil Bhatnagar as an Additional Director on the company’s Board, with effect from August 31, 2022.

According to the company’s exchange filing, “we wish to inform that the Board of Directors of the Company at their meeting on August 31, 2022 have inter-alia considered and approved the appointment of Mr. Anil Bhatnagar (DIN: 09716726) as an Additional Director (Non-Executive, Non-Independent) and recommendation to the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting (“AGM”), his appointment as Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, liable to retire by rotation.”

Anil Bhatnagar has rich experience in corporate and commercial litigation including international and domestic arbitrations. He is a former Senior Partner of the firm, Dua Associates. He has handled a large number of domestic arbitrations covering corporate and commercial disputes arising out of joint ventures, Government and private contracts, and civil construction and engineering contracts, the statement said.

He has conducted International Arbitration in several countries including proceedings before Arbitral Tribunals constituted by the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris and London Court of International Arbitration, London. As a litigator, he has regularly appeared as Counsel in a large number of matters before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, other state High Courts and Statutory Tribunals.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Delhi and also a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. He is enrolled with the Delhi Bar Council.
