Minda Industries Limited announced the appointment of Satish Balkrishna Borwankar as an Additional Director on the company’s Board of Directors, with effect from April 12, 2022.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “we wish to inform you thilt on the rccommcnd.ition of Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors of the Company approved the appointment of Mr. Satish Balkrishna Borwankar (DIN-01793948) as an Additional Director in the Category of Non-Executive Independent Director on the Board of the Company for a term of three years with effect from 12/04/2022 to 11/04/2025, subject to approval of the Shareholders of the Company.”
Satish Balkrishna Borwankar has done B.Tech (Hons) Mechanical Engineering in 1974 from IIT Kanpur. After passing out, he started his carrier with Tata Motors as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in 1974. He acquired wide experience of working in automobile industry particularly in manufacturing and quality functions of commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles of Tata Motors.
Borwankar worked in various executive positions for overseeing and implementing product development, manufacturing operations and quality assurance of commercial and passenger vehicle business of Tata Motors. He played significant role in setting up some of the green field projects in Tata Motors. He superannuated as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer after serving the organisation for 45 years.
