NourishCo Beverages Ltd. , a joint venture between PepsiCo & Tata Global Beverages has appointed Pratik Pota, as the chief executive officer of the company with immediate effect. Pratik takes over from incumbent Punita Lal. In his earlier role, Pratik had been heading the South Business Unit for PepsiCo, from May 2008.
Pratik, is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in FMCG & Telecom. He is a graduate from IIM – Kolkata and BITS Pilani, and has been associated with Unilever, Bharti Airtel, prior to joining PepsiCo. in 2005. He has handled some of the key brands at PepsiCo – Nimbooj & Mountain Dew.
NourishCo was formed in 2010 through a joint venture agreement between Tata and PepsiCo India. “NourishCo aims to provide meaningful hydration solutions in the non-carbonated, ready-to-drink beverages segment in India and around the world.”
NourishCo, portfolio includes 3 products in the Beverages space: Tata Gluco Plus, a glucose based drink in an affordable cup format, Himalayan Natural Mineral Water, pristine source water and now Tata Water Plus, Nutrient Water, an innovative product that seeks to provide essential micronutrients.
Off the above – NourishCo, has just launched – Tata Water Plus and Tata Gluco Plus — in Tamil Nadu. Tata Gluco Plus was piloted last year in Maharashtra. NourishCo, is planning to move in a phased manner starting from south and west markets before proceeding for an all India launch.
