OneWeb, the global communications network powered from space, announced the appointment of Nadia Hoosen as Chief Legal Officer and Group Company Secretary. A dual qualified Solicitor and Chartered Secretary, Nadia is a recognised leader with two decades of legal and UK listed / regulatory expertise.
Nadia has spent most of her legal career in-house within regulated consumer-facing, technology, media, and telecommunications sectors for FTSE 250 companies, where she built a track record of transforming legal functions using technology and worked closely with listed and regulatory Boards. She has worked within telecommunications for more than ten years.
Until June 2021, Nadia was Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary at AA plc and, before this role, was the Group’s General Counsel. Most recently, Nadia led the legal and regulatory aspects of the public to private sale of AA plc to Warburg Pincus and TowerBrook.
Prior to AA, Nadia was Group Legal Director and Deputy Company Secretary at TalkTalk Telecom Group plc for more than eight years and Head of Legal at Carphone Warehouse Group plc.
At OneWeb, Nadia will serve as a member of the Executive Committee and attend all Board and Committee meetings. She is responsible for leading all legal and regulatory aspects of the business and corporate transactions including M&A, legal, regulatory, privacy compliance, risk & compliance, executive remuneration, and corporate governance / company secretarial.
