Orient Paper & Industries (CK Birla Group) has appointed Vinod Rai as its Chief Human Resources Officer, according to ETHRWorld report.
In his new role, Rai will be responsible for HR transformation, capability building, policies realignment, digitisation etc. He will be based in Kolkata, and will report to Ashwin Laddha, Managing Director and CEO, Orient Paper & Industries.
Rai comes with over 29 years of experience across motor vehicle manufacturing and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Prior to joining Orient Paper & Industries, Rai was working as AVP and Head – Human Resources at Maruti Suzuki India. He has also served at Jubilant Life Sciences as DGM and Head – Business HR & Talent Acquisition. He has also been associated with Panacea Biotec.
Vinod Rai, CHRO, Orient Paper & Industries, told ETHRWorld, “My immediate focus will be to onboard key senior talent who have passion for change and can logically challenge the status quo.”
Rai holds an Executive-MBA in Human Resources Management from XLRI Jamshedpur, and an MBA in Personnel Management & Marketing from Nagpur University.
