Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) announced it has named Balanarayan K P, Chief General Manager, as Executive Director on the company’s Board, with effect from December 1, 2023.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “In terms of Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (SEBI (LODR)), it is to inform that Shri Balanarayan K P, Chief General Manager, POWERGRID has been promoted as Executive Director (ED) (i.e. Senior Management Personnel – One level below the Board of Directors), POWERGRID w.e.f. 01.12.2023.”
Balanarayan K P is an Electrical Engineering Graduate from Calicut University. After Graduation, he joined M/s NLC as Graduate Engineer Trainee in the year 1987. Upon creation of POWERGRID, he joined as Sr. Engineer in the year 1992. He has diverse experience of working primarily in AC & DC Sub-station Operation & Maintenance and Projects. Currently, he is heading the Asset Management Department in Western Region Transmission System-I of POWERGRID.
