Punjab National Bank announced the appointment of Pankaj Sharma as Director on the Board of the Bank, with effect from April 11, 2022. Pankaj Sharma is presently Joint Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services, a statement said.
According to the Bank’s exchange filing, “The Exchange is hereby informed that Shri Pankaj Sharma has been nominated as a Director of the Bank under Section 9(3)(b) of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970, in terms of Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India Notification eF.No. 61212022-B0.1 dated 11.04.2022 with immediate effect and until further orders, vice Shri Pankaj Jain (who ceased to be a director on the Board of the Bank upon such nomination on 11.04.2022).”
