RailTel Corporation of India Limited announced the appointment of Manoj Tandon as Director (PO&M) on the company’s Board, with effect from March 20, 2023.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “Pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, it is hereby informed that the Ministry of Railways, Government of India vide its letter No. 2022/E(O)II/40/6 dated 20/03/2023 has conveyed the appointment of Shri Manoj Tandon to the post of Director (PO&M) of RailTel Corporation of India Limited. Accordingly, Shri Manoj Tandon has assumed the charge of the post of Director (PO&M) of the Company w.e.f. 20/03/2023 (F/N) for a period till the date of his superannuation i.e. 30/11/2027 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.”
Manoj Tandon took over the charge of Director- Projects, Operation & Maintenance w.e.f 20.03.2023. Prior to this Tandon was shouldering the responsibilities of the Group General Manager/ Operations and heading retail broadband business of RailTel. During his stint in various capacities in RailTel, he worked in the areas of evolving and maintaining NOC operations and expanded Internet & Wi-Fi networks to improve network resiliency and user experience. During his tenure RailWire broadband crossed half a million customer base and introduced various value added services (VAS).
Before joining RailTel, Tandon has worked in various telecom companies and delivered many greenfield telecom network rollouts & transformational projects for continuous evolution of end-to-end network automation consisting of Service Assurance & Service fulfilment stacks, to strengthen NOC’s capabilities to ensure agile & efficient management of Network, Service & Customer Experience of all telecom verticals, the statement said.
He is Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Maulana Azad College of Technology (REC/NIT), Bhopal in 1990.
