Rajesh Gopinathan would take over as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of TCS

Rajesh Gopinathan, would be taking over as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of TCS. He would be succeeding Seturaman Mahalingam, who has been in the role since February 2003.

Seturaman Mahalingam, or “Maha” as he is known in TCS, started his career with TCS in 1970. He was appointed as CFO in 2003 and Executive Director in August 2007.

In a BSE filing the company said that he (Maha) will retire from his Executive and Board position on February 9, 2013, on reaching the retirement age of 65 years as per the company’s policy.

Rajesh Gopinathan has been with TCS since 2001, and has handled key assignments across sales, strategy and finance. Most recently he has been heading business finance for the company. He is an IIM Ahmedabad alumni.
