Sandeep Gupta appointed Chief Digital and Information Officer at Cairn Oil and Gas

Cairn Oil and Gas has appointed Sandeep Gupta as Chief Digital and Information Officer, according to ETCIO report. He will report to Prachur Sah, Dy CEO, Cairn Oil & Gas.

In this new role, Sandeep will be leading the digital and technology function for Cairn and will work closely with SBU Leaders to drive business delivery through accelerating digital transformation journey. He will focus on driving innovation, adoption of new age digital practices, cutting edge technical solutions and leveraging business partnerships to help enable SBUs deliver production and fast track growth projects.

Commenting on the development, Gupta said, “I feel excited to join the largest private sector crude oil producer in India. I am sure my experience aligns with Vedanta’s overall vision to transform itself into a data-driven organization enabling improved recovery, production optimization, enhanced safety and maximized productivity. In his previous stint, Gupta was associated with Kearney where he led the digital transformation center with significant contribution towards developing and revamping the digital and IT strategy for multiple clients.

Sandeep has done his MBA from Lancaster University Management School, UK and Bachelor of Engineering (E&C) from Basaveshwar Engineering College. He brings over 21 years of extensive experience in IT & Digital strategy and diverse background in executing delivery programs across global Management Consulting Firms comprising Kearney, TCS, PwC and Infosys.
