Shriram Asset Management Company Ltd. (Shriram AMC) has announced the appointment of Prateek Nigudkar as Senior Fund Manager, as the firm continues to sharpen its investment capabilities with a data-driven edge.
Nigudkar, who joins from Jio BlackRock Mutual Fund, brings with him more than 13 years of experience spanning quantitative strategies, equity research, and asset allocation. His previous roles include a seven-year stint at DSP Mutual Fund where he managed portfolios that combined fundamental analysis with data analytics. He began his career at Credit Suisse as a quant and thematic research analyst, developing tools and insights for private and institutional investors.
“We are excited to welcome Prateek to Shriram AMC. His deep expertise in quantitative portfolio construction and multi-asset strategies aligns perfectly with our Quantamental philosophy,” said Kartik Jain, Managing Director and CEO of Shriram AMC.
Nigudkar holds a Master’s in Quantitative Finance from Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. He is also a CFA and FRM charterholder.
Expressing his excitement about the new role, Nigudkar said, “I am delighted to be part of Shriram AMC’s growth journey and look forward to applying my experience in data-driven investment strategies to build innovative solutions.”
The appointment comes as Shriram AMC, now backed by South Africa’s Sanlam, continues to build a stronger bench of investment talent while reinforcing its hybrid “quantamental” approach—one that blends fundamental research with quantitative tools.
Founded in 1994, Shriram AMC offers a range of equity, hybrid, and debt mutual fund products.
