STL appoints Venkatesh Murthy as Director – Operations

Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL), an integrator of digital networks, announced the appointment of Venkatesh Murthy as Director – Operations, with effect from July 27, 2023.

According to the company’s exchange filing, “With reference to our letter dated July 18, 2023, we wish to inform you that the Board of Directors of Sterlite Technologies Limited (the “Company”), at its meeting held today i.e. on July 27, 2023, has approved, inter alia, the appointment of Mr. Venkatesh Murthy (DIN 08567907) as Director – Operations for a period of five years from July 27, 2023 upto July 26, 2028, subject to the approval of shareholders.”

Venkatesh Murthy has been associated with the Company since 2006 and currently Chief Operations Officer for Optical Networking Business of the Company. Murthy has over three decades of experience in handling manufacturing operations, business and projects. Murthy has played pivotal role in building Company’s capabilities to cater to new geographies like North America, Europe & SEA region. He has also been instrumental for successful completion of various capex expansion and integration of manufacturing operations in Italy and USA.

Murthy holds Bachelor of Engineering, Electronics and Communication degree from Nagpur University.
