Tata Metaliks Limited announced the appointment of Alok Krishna as Managing Director and Additional Director on the company’s Board, with effect from November 1, 2022. He succeeds Sandeep Kumar, who has decided to step down from the role of MD, with effect from October 31, 2022.
An Electronics Engineer by education, Alok Krishna (54) joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in 1990 after completing his B. E. in Electronics and Communications from BIT, Mesra, and subsequently, attended Executive Business Management Program from XLRI, Jamshedpur (1997-98). Over the last over 32 years of his association with Tata Steel and group companies, he has worked in different capacities across various functions of Maintenance, Cold Rolling Mill Plant Operations, Supply Chain & Production Planning, Total Quality Management & Business Process Enhancement, and the Digital Foundation Program overseeing the implementation of SAP S4HANA.
In 2018, he was appointed as the Managing Director of a newly floated subsidiary company, Kalimati Global Shared Services Limited and entrusted with the responsibility to establish and operate shared services operations for financial accounting and transactions, for Tata Steel.
Currently, he is the Managing Director, of TRF Limited since November 2019.
