Ranjit Yadav, President – Passenger Card Business Unit (PCBU)

Tata Motors has appointed Ranjit Yadav as the President of company’s passenger car business Unit (PCBU). Earlier he was heading the Mobile & IT Business for Samsung India, and in his previous stints has held senior positions in Hewlett Packard, Philips, and Ponds.

Neeraj Garg, Vice President – Commercial, Passenger Card Business Unit (PCBU)

Neeraj Garg (ex Volkswagen), has been appointed as Vice President – Commercial. He was earlier leading the Sales & Marketing for Volkswagen India, and has previously been associated with Nissan Motors, Honda Siel. With his appointed as as Vice President Commercial, the incumbent Vice President – Commercial, R Ramakrishnan, has been moved to Commercial Vehicles Business Unit.

On these appointments, Karl Slym,Managing Director of Tata Motors said, “Ranjit Yadav’s experience of leading a highly customer-centric business will bring in the outside-in perspective that we need to further evolve our Passenger Vehicles business. Neeraj Garg brings in significant domain understanding of the Indian car space and its competitive dynamics. We are happy that they will spearhead our aggressive plans in the high-potential market that India is. We are also happy to have Mr. Ramakrishnan’s extensive commercial vehicles experience back for our CV business to retain our traditional market dominance.”

Earlier in August 2012, Tata Motors had announced the appointment of Karl Slym (ex. General Motors India), as the company’s Managing Director with effect from October 1, 2012. Karl has taken over his role ahead of the scheduled joining date. He will be leading the operations of Tata Motors in India and international markets, including South Korea, Thailand, Spain, Indonesia and South Africa.
