The New India Assurance Company Limited announced the appointment of Madhulika Bhaskar, GM of General Insurance Corporation of India, as General Manager of the company.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “Pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligation and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, we wish to inform you that Ms. Madhulika Bhaskar, General Manager from General Insurance Corporation of India has been appointed as the General Manager of the Company.”
Bhaskar is presently working as General Manager in the General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re). She oversees the operations of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Investment, Internal Audit and Acturial Departments. Bhaskar joined the General Insurance Corporation of India in 1988 as a direct recruit officer, and has served GIC diligently for the past 33 years in various positions.
The New India Assurance Co. Ltd., based in Mumbai, Maharashtra is a nationalised general insurance company. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
