Social networking platform Twitter announced that it has appointed Rinki Sethi as its new Chief Information Security officer. In her previous stint at IBM, Sethi served as information security executive.

Sethi had previously worked as the vice president of information security at cyber-security firm Palo Alto, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Earlier in July, Twitter had reported a breach where hackers accessed its internal systems to hack some of the high profile accounts and used them to solicit digital currency. The company had been without a security chief since December.
