Uber appoints Divya Garg as Head – HR for India and South Asia region

Uber has appointed Divya Garg as the Head of HR for the India and South Asia (SA) region, according to ET Bureau report.

In her new role, Garg will work closely with the India SA leadership team to consolidate Uber’s growing presence in these strategic markets and build a diverse and inclusive work culture.

Most recently, Garg had a stint with Accenture, where she consulted in the talent and organisational consulting practice for many years, before joining the Accenture People team.

“Divya has an exceptional track record and deep experience in building an inclusive work culture. Uber’s employees are its most important asset, and Divya will play a critical role in their growth, as well as that of the company. She brings with her a demonstrated ability to foster a culture that values accomplishment and celebrates the employee experience,” said Prabhjeet Singh, president, Uber India South Asia.

“Uber’s mission is a powerful one, especially in a region like India SA, where we play a vital role in helping cities move safely and create earning opportunities for driver and delivery partners. This inspires a sense of purpose and belongingness in me,” said Garg.
