UCO Bank announced the appointment of Soma Sankara Prasad as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Soma Sankara Prasad started his banking career at State Bank of India on 12th October, 1985 as Probationary Officer. He has banking experience of 36 years and held important assignments in various capacities in Treasury Operations, Audit and Marketing. He led the SEBI Pension Fund as Managing Director and CEO from December 2013 to October 2014.
He has headed Singapore Operations as Chief General Manager & Country Head. Prior to joining UCO Bank as MD & CEO, he was holding the position of Deputy Managing Director and Group Compliance Officer (DMD & GCO) at State Bank of India.
