Vodafone Idea has appointed Mathan Babu Kasilingam Vodafone Idea as Chief Technology Security Officer & Data Privacy Officer. Kasilingam succeeds Amit Pradhan, who used to lead cybersecurity at Vodafone Idea.
Prior to this role, Kasilingam had a three-year stint with National Payments Corporation Of India (NPCI) as Chief Information Security Officer. He has also worked with companies like HDFC Bank, BT Global Services, Symantec, and McAfee.
In this new role, Kasilingam will be responsible for cybersecurity, digital security entities, data privacy norms, and other compliance-related activities at Vodafone Idea.
At NPCI, Kasilingam introduced several new initiatives and data protection practices at the company. He has over 16 years of experience in the cybersecurity domain.
