Capgemini to onboard 30,000 people in India in 2021

A global provider of consulting, digital transformation, technology, and engineering services, Capgemini is planning to hire 30,000 Indian empoyees in the year 2021.

“The hiring reflects our strong revenue growth guidance of 7-9% for 2021. The people will be a 50:50 mix of both freshers and laterals,” Ashwin Yardi, CEO of Capgemini in India, informed in an interview.

Yardi added, “This year’s hiring will be across emerging digital skills such as cloud, engineering and research and development, artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, edge computing, and cybersecurity. Digital and cloud comprised 65% of Capgemini’s revenue in the December quarter.”

India, with 125,000 employees, accounts for more than half of the French IT services company’s global strength and is its largest delivery engine. Last year, Capgemini hired over 24,000 freshers in India.
