Sustainability equates with profitability in the long run says Accenture CEO

Speaking at the 29th edition of the IT trade foyer group – Nasscom’s annual Technology & Leadership Forum, Julie Sweet – Accenture Plc’s Chief Executive Officer said that companies everywhere will become sustainable in future highlighting the significance of zero waste emissions.

She noted, “Back in 2013, we said every business will be a digital business. Today our prediction is every business will be a sustainable business.”

“We believe that being sustainable makes you more successful and those companies who have combined sustainability into their business strategy are 2.5 times more successful than those have not,” Julie Sweet said.

She further added, “We really believe, right, that every business will become a sustainable business. And the opportunity, as a company, is to differentiate to get there first and be more successful. Financial performance comes because employees care about it, and customers care about it and there’s an effect on the bottom line.”
