Gopal Vittal, the joint MD and CEO (India) of Bharti Airtel, is being elevated to the position of Managing Director for the company. Gopal had taken over as the CEO (India) for Bharti Airtel in March 2013.
As a part of the recent announcement, Manoj Kohli would step down as the MD & CEO (International) of Bharti Airtel. He would take over as the Chairman for Bharti Airtel Netherlands BV, the holding company for Bharti’s Africa operations.
