Indian Energy Exchange contributes towards Covid-19 relief measures

The pandemic and the concern related to the extent of damage it can cause had brought in a good degree of participation from major corporations, philanthropists, and business leaders to support the fight against the pandemic.

The Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) has also contributed Rs five crores to the PM’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation (PM CARES) Fund to support relief measures in the fight against COVID 19.

“As we face an unprecedented crisis, support and solidarity from citizens as well as corporates during these times will go a long way in supplementing the various efforts undertaken by the Government,” IEX said in a press release.

“We are facing one of the toughest global humanitarian and economic crisis. During this time, each one of us must do our part. We acknowledge the all-round efforts of the Government and extend our humble contribution to support COVID-19 relief measures,” said Rajiv Srivastava, CEO and Managing Director, Indian Energy Exchange Limited.

The Exchange earlier announced its commitment of 24X7 access to its platform to facilitate uninterrupted power supply to the nation during the need of hour.

Indian Energy Exchange Ltd is India’s power trading platform. IEX enables efficient price discovery and counter-party risk management for participants of the electricity market, including industries eligible for open access.
