MSC Group completes acquisition of Bolloré Africa Logistics

MSC Group announced that its wholly owned subsidiary SAS Shipping Agencies Services has completed the acquisition of Bolloré Africa Logistics. The transaction has been approved by all relevant regulatory authorities.

MSC’s acquisition of Bolloré Africa Logistics SAS and its subsidiaries (“Bolloré Africa Logistics Group”) underscores MSC’s long-term commitment to investing in African supply chains and infrastructure to support the needs of both companies’ customers, a statement said.

Philippe Labonne will continue his long-standing role at the helm of the company as President of Bolloré Africa Logistics.

MSC intends to further enhance the continent’s connectivity to the rest of the world and enable trade within Africa as part of the implementation of the AfCFTA (African Continental Free Trade Area). With the financial strength and operational expertise of the MSC Group behind it, Bolloré Africa Logistics will be able to meet all of its government obligations, particularly in relation to port concessions.
