Purple Style Labs Pvt Ltd (PSL), a luxury fashion house bringing together India’s top designers under one platform, has acquired Wendell Rodricks, a Goa-based fashion brand. Financial details of the funding remain undisclosed.
Commenting on the development, PSL founder Abhishek Agarwal, said, “We are honoured to have been given the task to carry on the legacy of Rodricks. At PSL, we believe that Indian fashion deserves to get recognition at a global luxury retail platform and this association will definitely help us in achieving our mutual goal.”
Founded in 2015 by Abhishek Agarwal, an IIT-Bombay graduate and ex-banker with Deutsche, PSL has so far raised $9 million from investors including Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal, Falcon Edge Capital partner Navroz Udwadia, PremjiInvest partner Rahul Garg, Lifestyle CEO Rishi Vasudev, Wazir Advisors’ Harminder Sahni, House of Anita Dongre MD Mukesh Sawlani, and Astarc Ventures.
Earlier in August 2019, PSL acquired Pernia’s Pop Up Shop, a multi-brand e-commerce website. It has also invested in House of Masaba, the luxury label launched by fashion designer Masaba Gupta.
