CityMall secures $11 million in funding from Accel, others

Social e-commerce venture CityMall has secured $11 million in Series A funding, The funding round was led by Accel and saw participation from Elevation Capital and WaterBridge Ventures.

Founded in 2019 by Angad Kikla, Divij Goyal and Naisheel Verdhan, Citymall claims it has developed a community commerce platform for everyday products for the next 300 million Internet users. 

CityMall is backed by Elevation Capital and has a vision to create India’s largest chain of virtual stores on WhatsApp. Through a network of neighbourhood community leaders, CityMall claims to enable Bharat to experience the convenience of online commerce.

Founded by IIT Delhi and IIT Roorkee alumni with 8+ years of entrepreneurial experience, CityMall aims to create several thousands of such micro-entrepreneurs and empower them to create the go-to e-commerce platform for Bharat.
