ENpower, a platform hosting entrepreneurship training programmes for school children, has raised Rs 2.65 crore ($377,500) in a seed round of funding led by Nikhil Vora, Founder and CEO of Sixth Sense Ventures. The platform which calls itself – “The B School for Teens”, was founded by Sushil Mungekar in 2016 and is operated by Enlearning Skill Development Pvt. Ltd.
It is understood that the fund will be utilised for business expansion and to promote the company’s entrepreneurship search and mentoring platform – India’s Future Tycoons.
ENPower offer a Junior MBA – a program designed on entrepreneurial skills and competencies, and offers workshops on design thinking, entrepreneurship simulation, as well as a platform for live interaction with entrepreneurs. The company hosts India’s Future Tycoons, a comprehensive, multi-level competition for teens to build on their ideas and create a successful venture.
In Oct 2019, ENpower had announced their partnership with UN GCNI (Sustainable Development Goals Partner) and Niti Ayog’s Atal Innovation Mission (Knowledge and Outreach Partner) for India’s Future Tycoons (IFT) Season II to be held in January 2020. IFT Season I saw 3,300 students from 252 schools across 52 cities participating in the entrepreneurship challenge. The upcoming IFT Season II is expected to be even bigger and the aim is to reach out to 6,000 schools with an estimated participation of over 50,000 students. The theme is ‘Innovate to Solve India’s Water Crisis.
