PlanetSpark, a Gurugram-based edtech startup, announced that it has raised Rs 3.2 crore in pre-Series A round. Investors that took part in the funding round include Indian Angel Network, Lead Angels, and Hyderabad Angels. Existing seed investor and one of India’s largest coaching brands, FIITJEE Limited, also participated in this round.

As per the company’s statement, the funds will be utilised for expanding business into new geographies and increasing enrolments by 10x over the next 12-15 months.

PlanetSpark was founded in 2016 by Maneesh Dhooper and Kunal Malik. The startup provides neighbourhood learning zones where children learn and develop ‘new-age’ skills under one roof. It combines online learning with an offline experience for children through its in-house learning products.

In 2019, PlanetSpark struck a deal with hospitality unicorn OYO to set up more than 500 ‘new-age’ learning spaces for children across India, catering to all the learning needs of KG to Class 8 kids in the neighbourhood.
