Licious raises $30 mn in series E funding round

Licious, a gourmet meat brand, run by Delightful Gourmet Pvt. Ltd has raised $30 million in a series E round, led by Singapore-based Vertex Growth Fund. Existing investors 3one4 Capital, Bertelsmann India Investments, Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India, and Sistema Asia Fund also participated in the round. The company was founded by Vivek Gupta & Abhay Hanjura in 2015.

The startup will utilise these funds in expanding their footprint, strengthening omnichannel presence and powering new product launches, especially in the Ready-to-Eat category.

In a statement, Co-Founders, Licious, Vivek Gupta & Abhay Hanjura said, “We are elated to see our marquee investors instill faith in our vision. Licious is working towards creating these differentiators and will stay committed towards elevating India’s meat & seafood experience.”

Licious is present in 7+ cities and offers prime quality meat products. It provides end-to-end services from procuring fresh produce, processing them and storing it before delivery.
