Proptech startup YourOwnRoom raises $1.3M to scale its co-living business

YourOwnROOM, a residential proptech rental and property management business, has raised $1.3 million in seed funding from a group of investors – US-based investment firm Lotus Capital; Ravi Chaturvedi, former President of P&G; Narasimha Murthy, Co-founder of a US-based healthtech company; and a group of angel Investors based out of the US and Bengaluru. It was founded by Prabhat Kumar Tiwary, Sachin Joshi and Rewat Laxman in 2016. 

The startup has 1,500 beds in Bengaluru and Pune. The company has tied up with residential asset owners – individual homeowners, developers, and building owners to manage their rentals and properties.

The funds will be utilised in implementing AI and Machine learning to excel the business process. For the next couple of years their aim is to reach more than 2500 beds with 25 micro market in Bangalore and pune.
