Sherpa.ai secures $8.5M

Sherpa has raised $8.5M from Managing Partner at Apax Digital – Marcelo Gigliani, the chairman of British Airways – Alex Cruz, and Mundi Ventures and Ekarpen, Spanish investment firms.

The fund will be used to expand from conversational AI to B2B privacy-first federated learning services.

Sherpa.ai, based in Bilbao and Silicon Valley, is the provider of Artificial Intelligence services. Among its AI services are Predictive and personalization AI, the white-label conversational Digital Assistant technologies and advanced AI framework.

Sherpa.ai has been named one of the top 10 leading Artificial Intelligence companies in the world, alongside Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and IBM. In 2019, Tom Gruber, founder and ex-CTO of Siri, joined the team; and in 2020, marketing executive Joanna Hoffman, the former Marketing Director at Apple, became part of the team, along with Celestino García, the ex-Corporate Vice President of Samsung and current Vice President of Business Development at Sherpa.ai.
