Y Combinator-backed startup Truebill secures $17M in Series C Funding

Maryland-based Truebill,personal finance and savings app has secured $17M in Series C Funding.

The series C funding round was led by Bessemer Ventures and also saw participation from Day One Ventures, Eldridge Industries, Cota Capital, and Firebolt Ventures.

The personal finance startup seeks to utilise the funds to further accelerate its operations and reach.

Founded by Yahya Mokhtarzada, Idris Mokhtarzada, and Haroon Mokhtarzada, Truebill has also raised $15M in october, 2019 in series B funding round. This round was led by Eldridge Industries along with participation from Evolution VC and existing investors, including Cota Capital, Lucas Venture Group and YouTube co-founder Jawed
Karim. The startup’s total funding is $40 million with the new round.

Initially the startup was focused on tracking unwanted subscriptions for its users so that they could cancel them accordingly but it has now expanded its services and provides reports on expenses while also helping in negotiation of bills.
