On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, Pidilite Industries highlighted its long-standing efforts to bridge India’s skill gap through partnerships, vocational training, and digital tools. With over one lakh youth trained across multiple domains, the company is positioning itself as an enabler in India’s push for a future-ready workforce.

Pidilite’s efforts span a wide range of skilling initiatives—from trades like plumbing, waterproofing, woodworking, and interior design to creative fields like organic farming and arts & crafts. Many of these programs are run in collaboration with over 600 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
“Our goal is not only to train the next generation but to inspire them to become catalysts of innovation and resilience,” said Sudhanshu Vats, Managing Director of Pidilite Industries. He emphasized the need for both hands-on capabilities and future-ready knowledge, citing the company’s partnership with the Gujarat Government’s Kaushalya University to establish the Pidilite Woodworking and Plumbing Centre for Advanced Skills.
The Centre has already certified over 2,800 learners and played a key role in training India’s gold medallist in Joinery at World Skills International 2024 in France.
To enhance accessibility, Pidilite recently launched the ‘Bonding Expert’ digital platform, aimed at providing practical, on-ground learning resources. Additionally, the Dr. Fixit Institute focuses on specialised waterproofing training for industry professionals, while the Fevicryl Specialists program supports hobbyists in turning their craft into a source of income through certified workshops.
Pidilite’s programs also support placement and industry engagement through expert-led sessions, alumni meets, and on-the-job training. The company says its end-to-end skilling approach is designed to foster long-term career readiness.
