WeWork India announces company-wide 10-day extended Diwali break

WeWork India has announced a company-wide 10-day extended break for its employees during Diwali.

The company said in a statement, “As an employee-first organisation, WeWork India has introduced various people initiatives to enhance its employee experience and overall company culture. This surprise holiday break was announced, to help employees celebrate the festival of lights with their family and loved ones and enjoy some much-needed downtime. In line with the recently added company value of “being sustainable”, WeWork India made a donation of INR 10 Lakhs, as a part of its impact initiative, to ‘Kids for Tigers’ by Sanctuary India Foundation, on behalf of all its employees. Directed towards the youth, a new generation of conservationists, the program teaches them about various ways of conserving nature which is ultimately the best way to protect current and future generations.”

Priti Shetty, Head of People, WeWork India, said, “2021 has been a year of braving towards an ever-evolving situation. While it is difficult to articulate the level of personal challenges people have faced, our workforce has continued to adapt, be agile and put in the extra effort to ensure business continuity and exceptional member experience. Our teams at WeWork India have worked relentlessly to ensure we continue to be a leader in the flexible workspace category and delight our members. We have challenged ourselves, been entrepreneurial and offered innovative products like WeWork On Demand, All Access and Virtual office, to cater to emerging needs in a hybrid and flexible world. As a gesture of gratitude towards the contribution and resilience of our people, we have offered a 10 day Diwali break. Behind every great employee, is a family who has provided a strong support system and this is our way of saying thank you to the loved-ones of our employees as well, and hope the festive season brings much joy and celebrations, in a safe way.”
