NEC Corporation India has rolled out a new five-part podcast series, #WeThinkEqual, focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I). The series aims to bring real, lived experiences to the forefront and broaden the conversation beyond corporate settings.

Through a lineup of candid conversations, the podcast brings together voices from different industries and walks of life, including Indian Army veteran Major Vandana Sharma, F4 racer and commercial pilot Sneha Sharma, wellness coach Aditi Surana, and several NEC India leaders.
The first episode, titled “Courage to Change,” features Major Vandana Sharma in conversation with NEC India’s President & CEO, Aalok Kumar. It delves into her journey from the military to the corporate world and the internal clarity that guided her transition. The second episode, “Beyond Gender Labels,” has Sneha Sharma discussing resilience and breaking stereotypes in male-dominated fields with Mahesha D, NEC India’s CFO.
Subsequent episodes focus on themes such as mental well-being, burnout, and work-life integration. HR Head Kashish Daya Kapoor joins wellness coach Shikha Agarwal in one episode to examine the link between health and career success. In a two-part feature titled “Reset to Rise,” NEC’s Head of Supply Chain Geoster Xavier and coach Aditi Surana discuss self-awareness and long-term career sustainability.
Aalok Kumar described the podcast as a move to “extend this belief beyond business to create real societal change,” while NEC India CMO Arvind Saxena said, “We’re not just telling stories, we’re sparking a movement.”
The series builds on NEC India’s internal DE&I efforts, which have been underway for the past four years. A visual retrospective released alongside the podcast showcases employees saying “We Think Equal” in their native languages—a gesture meant to highlight unity in diversity.
