Cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks has finalized its acquisition of Protect AI, a company specializing in security solutions for machine learning systems.

The deal strengthens Palo Alto’s capabilities in securing AI development pipelines, an area gaining attention as enterprises expand the use of AI in critical applications. Protect AI’s tools are designed to identify vulnerabilities, manage risk, and enforce governance throughout the machine learning lifecycle.

The acquisition is expected to enhance Palo Alto’s Prisma Cloud offering by adding ML-specific security features, helping customers better protect AI workloads from emerging threats.
