Former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev, has launched ‘VAOO’ App, a Mumbai-based cab aggregator that promises to offer free rides to passengers in return for viewing advertisements. The company had received $15 million in funding from investors including Kapil Dev.
The startup has already registered 15,000 cabs. Unlike Ola & Uber business module, the VAOO cab driver will receive 100% commision and there will be no employee benefits.
In the next 3 month, the company will focus on acquiring 10 million customers and gather 3 lakhs cabs.
