Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) has announced the appointment of Mr. Ganesh Srinivasan as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with effect from December 2, 2019. Srinivasan will take over from Mr. Sanjay Banga who has been elevated to the position of President – Transmission and Distribution (T&D), Tata Power, Mumbai. In his new role, Mr. Banga will take care of all India operations of Tata Power related to Transmission and Distribution sector.
CEO and MD, Tata Power and Chairman, Tata Power-DDL, Mr. Praveer Sinha said, “Ganesh has a proven track record and he is a passionate leader. His ability to drive performance and work seamlessly with stakeholders will be valuable for Tata Power-DDL. I am sure that the company will scale new heights under his leadership. Prior to moving to Tata Power-DDL, Mr. Srinivasan was the Chief – Transmission and Distribution, Tata Power, Mumbai. He has been with Tata Power since September 2012 and has also headed Strategy & Corporate Planning Division there. He brings with him two decades of experience in areas like power utility, infrastructure (cement, steel), product development and manufacturing and automotive sector. He has also spearheaded strategy, operations transformation and organisational development. He started his career with Cummins India Limited and has also worked with McKinsey & Company.
