Sunil Bhaskaran to lead Air Asia India


Sunil Bhaskaran, a Tata Steel veteran will take over as Air Asia India’s  new Chief Executive and Managing Director. Bhaskaran, is currently the Vice President – Corporate at Jamshedpur based Tata Steel and will take charge at Air Asia from November 15th.

Bhaskaran has been selected by N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons to lead the airline. The position of Chief Executive had been lying vacant since June 2018, after the exit of Amar Abrol. 

Sunil Bhaskaran is an alumnus of IIT Delhi (Batch 1985) and IIM Kolkata (Batch 1987). Right after his post-graduation Bhaskaran had joined Tata Steel in 1987. He has also completed a GMP from CEDEP, INSEAD.
