Texas Instruments (TI) India has successfully concluded the fourth edition of its Women in Semiconductors and Hardware (WiSH) program, a mentorship initiative aimed at encouraging second-year female engineering students to explore careers in core engineering fields such as semiconductors and hardware.

This year’s program saw over 1,500 registrations, with more than 190 students participating. WiSH 2025 included virtual mentoring sessions, simulation projects, lab visits, and a final in-person week at TI’s Bengaluru campus. The initiative offered participants direct engagement with TI mentors and women engineers, giving them hands-on exposure to the semiconductor industry.

“The semiconductor industry is evolving rapidly, and the need for skilled talent is greater than ever,” said Santhosh Kumar, Managing Director, TI India. “WiSH expands access, builds confidence, and fosters engineering capabilities among aspiring women engineers in India.”

Now in its fourth year, WiSH continues to play a role in addressing gender disparity in STEM, with TI reinforcing its commitment to diversity and inclusion in tech.
