TVS Motor resumes manufacturing operations in India

As the country was under complete lockdown till May 3, all manufacturing operations were shut down nationwide resulting in great loss to the companies involved in manufacturing. However after May 3, the central government has lifted lockdown in few areas which are categorised as Green Zones, but the manufacturing operations are run in accordance to the government’s guidelines. In order to run operations in full throttle, companies have to wait a little longer till the pandemic is under control. Some companies have started their operations by undertaking proper measures.  

TVS Motor Company, a manufacturer of two-wheelers and three wheelers in the world, announced that it has commenced its operations in India across all factories in Hosur, Mysuru and Nalagarh. 

“The safety of employees and community is of paramount importance to TVS Motor Company. A comprehensive preparedness manual has been designed for employees to ensure complete adherence to necessary safety guidelines to help minimise the spread of the virus,” the company said in their press release.

“At all its manufacturing facilities, the company has undertaken exhaustive measures to ensure safe workplace for employees with appropriate social distancing and highest standards of hygiene. Work from Home option also continues for certain category of people, in adherence to respective state government guidelines,” it added.

TVS Motor Company is a two and three-wheeler manufacturer and is the flagship company of the $8.5 billion TVS Group.
