Uber becomes first ridesharing company to launch ‘Auto Rentals’ in India

Uber, the global ride hailing services provider that develops applications for road transportation, navigation, ride sharing, and payment processing solutions, announced that it has introduced Auto Rentals services in India.

“The new Uber Auto Rentals service understands your needs and priorities: one of which is to book a ride by the hour to help get all your errands done in one go, safely,” Uber said in its press note.

“This makes us the first ride-sharing company in India to introduce this on-demand 24×7 service, which allows you to book an auto and its driver for several hours with the liberty to make multiple stops along a journey, just as you would with your own personal vehicle,” Uber added.

Auto Rentals allows you to do more by the hour at an affordable price point of Rs 149 for a one-hour/ ten km package with the option of selecting from multiple hourly packages that can be booked up to a maximum of 8 hours.

The Uber Auto Rentals service is available in 6 cities across the country including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune.

All Autos for this service will observe strict safety guidelines and the highest possible hygiene standards, the Company added.
