Amit Syngle will take over as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Asian Paints. KBS Anand will be retiring after a a four-decade-long career at the company.
Amit Syngle, presently the COO for Asian Paints and a 29 year veteran at the company, will take charge as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Asian Paints effective April 1, 2020. This has been announced by the company in its exchange filing. The present Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer KBS Anand will be retiring after a a four-decade-long career at the company.
K.B.S. Anand, currently the Managing Director & CEO had joined the Company in the year 1979 and has held various positions in Decorative Business Unit /Industrial Business
/Chemical business functions of the Company. From the year 1998 to 2008, he served as
Vice President – Sales and Marketing for the Decorative Business Unit of the Company.
Prior to his appointment as Managing Director & CEO, he held the position of President –
Decorative Business Unit from the year 2008 to 2012
Amit Syngle, is a Mechanical engineer and a Postgraduate in Management ( 1990 Batch) from UBS, Chandigarh. He started his career with the company as a Management Trainee, and has been working with the company for last 29 years. He has worked in various capacities and across functions Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain & Research and Technology.
In his present role as the company COO, he has been heading the Indian Decorative business of more than US$ 2.5 billion. Prior to this he was President – Sales & Marketing and was responsible for not only the Sales & Marketing at Asian Paints but also headed the Research & Technology function across the organization.
