Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), a conglomerate of Aakash Institute, Aakash IIT-JEE and Aakash Foundations, has announced the appointment of Abhishek Maheshwari as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
In his new role, Abhishek Maheshwari will be responsible for strategy formulation and management of core offerings of AESL, which include digital along with classroom, hybrid, and distance learning.
Prior to this role, Maheshwari served as President – International Business at Byju’s. At Byju’s, Abhishek was responsible for driving Byju’s growth Internationally by building local teams and formulating and executing appropriate product and go to market strategies across markets. Prior to that, Maheshwari was Country Head for Disney leading all its brands and businesses in India. Maheshwari has also worked at Kubera Partners, McKinsey and Cambridge Technology Partners.

Maheshwari holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi and an MBA from Columbia Business School, New York.
