Venture capital firm Elevation Capital has appointed Amit Aggarwal as vice president. In his new role, Aggarwal will focus on investment in startups in social, content and commerce domains.
He will focus on early-stage investments along with two other vice presidents, Srinivas Bhaskar and Akarsh Shrivastava, a company release stated.
Aggarwal is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and IIT Delhi and has previously worked with Facebook as the India Lead for Strategic Planning and Operations. Prior to Facebook, he also worked at Hero Electronix and Bain and Company where he served clients in the consumer Internet and technology verticals, the company stated in a release.
Speaking on the appointment, Ravi Adusumalli, Managing Partner, Elevation Capital, said: “Amit brings with him rich experience of working with Facebook and multiple startups during his stint at Bain. We are delighted to have him join us in helping early-stage founders build out world-class companies.”
